When you are going for a vacation, however short it may be, there are some things that it is good to bring with you. Depending on whether or not you have a family, and whether or not you plan on bringing them, the list can go on and on. But if you are just going alone, here are the top 5 things you need to take with you in order to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible:
1) Appropriate clothes
If coming for the summer, bring short, and bring swimming trunks, as it can easily get to be around 40 C in the summer. If coming in the winter, bring a coat, a hat and a scarf, because although the winters have been steadily warmer and warmer, they are still cold, and we still have 4 seasons. Check the weather forecast on idojaras.hu, and dress appropriately. This can be the difference between shivering and feeling miserable, and going for a leisurely stroll. You will need some fresh air and a little exercise (just a nice walk) to help you heal, and the appropriate gear will help you with that.
2) Ice pack and medication
Although both ice packs and medication can be obtained in Hungary, you may not want to go to a pharmacy after you just had extensive dental work. Just get back home, and pop your favorite pills, and take an ice pack out of the freezer to make sure your swelling goes down. Taking some anti jet lag sleeping pills may also be a good idea, as many people have sleep problems when in pani or when in a new setting, and you may experience both of these things, and at least one for sure.
3) Document holder
It will make life so much easier if you do not have to spend your healing time at the reception of your countries embassy. Make sure you have your passport and your tickets with you all the time, or that you know where they are at any given time. If you are prone to losing stuff, make a photocopy of your passport, and keep your original and your tickets locked in your luggage in your room. This way, if you lose something, it will only be a photocopy, but a photocopy is all you need to prove your identity in case that becomes necessary.
4) Oral care equipment
Bringing your toothbrush with you is a good idea no matter where you are going, but you should also bring floss and some mouthwash. The ones you have in your home you are sued to and like, and ti can be reassuring to have one that you know and like, instead of picking through a bunch of random brands and choosing one you do not end up liking. Different people like different kinds of floss as well, so it is good to get the one you like most.
5) A good book
You will probably be out of it after your dental treatment. You will want to spend most of your time lounging around and recovering, and a good book is the perfect thing to keep you from being bored out of your skull. Make sure you bring enough to read, or bring some magazine or crossword puzzles.
