The weather is getting cold, much to everyone’s dismay, but there are a few good things that come with cold weather; long nights to stay indoors with hot tea, street vendors selling mulled wine, Christmas and advent and of course, outdoor ice skating rinks to romp around in. Here is a description of the most famous one in Hungary, the Műjégpálya.
Városliget
The biggest park in Hungary, the Városliget which spans the grey area between the 7th and the 14th districts, is home to many enchanting things, like the Vajdahunyad castle, one of the biggest music venues, a statue park and even the biggest outdoor ice skating rink. The ice skating rink is located right behind the museums on Heroes Square, and if you go to this historical site, you will not miss the open air ice skating rink, as music is coming from it, it is lit up at night, and there hundreds of people going round and round on top of it.
