Dental tourism can save you a lot of money, especially when you can find cheap accommodations and flight tickets, which are the backbone of this industry. But affordable accommodations do not mean poor quality housing, or tons of roommates in a seedy hostel: there are way more options available now then there ever were, and with airline tickets being as cheap as they are, they will likely stay cheap for a good while yet. Here are some of the options our dental tourists can use for their dental tourism accommodations:
If you do not mind spending a little extra, but want to stay in a comfortable home where you do not need to worry about anything but recovering and resting up, a hotel is the best option. Hotels are ranked on an international scale, so you know what you will be getting; it is enough to just look at how many stars the hotel has. They are a good option if you are going to have a particularly invasive surgery, or are going to need lots of rest and relaxation.
Airbnb and other short term rentals have transformed the face of the accommodations market. Just pick out an apartment in the city you need, close to where you will be staying, and you will have your very own apartment, with all of the furnishings and comforts of living in someone’s apartment. The downsides are that there is no room service and you need to clean up after yourself, but the price, privacy and comfort of having your own apartment more than makes up for that.
