The Festival of Folk Arts is going to be a real blast this year. Back in its traditional spot in Buda castle near Clark Ádám square, running the length of the Danube corso all the way to the old Bazaar, the festival looks to be bigger, better, and more focused than ever before, with an immense number of crafts and handmade folk arts for sale.
Are you from Britain and visiting Hungary? Are you homesick and looking for a piece of England on the Continent? Do you just want to meet some other fellow Englishmen and maybe have a discussion over a glass of Pim’s?
The Dreher beer factory is Hungary’s biggest brewery, and the only one that still is used for massive commercial purposes. Although Dreher is their finest product, and the only Hungarian beer with any international repoire, all of the major Hungarian beers are brewed here (including Kőbányai, Arany Ászok, Soproni Ászok, Borsodi and pretty much everything else you can buy at a supermarket).
Hungary is a land locked country, with several natural lakes and rivers running through it.
The Városliget is the biggest park in Budapest. If you enter from Heroes’ Square, you will see a quite large castle in the park. What is it? Who does it belong to? Why is it there? We have some answers, and we are here to tell you that this castle will be the home of an awesome music festival as well, because the Hungarian summer is basically an endless stream of festivities.
